New Years day, 1977 with my brother. I was eleven then, and young enough to get caught up in all the hype before it was released. At that age I thought Kohg '76 was amazing. Seeing it now I recognize it's flaws, but because of childhood nostalgia this movie will always have a special place in my heart.Scott Schimminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04122307576511856419noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492795376174847769.post-183072239730035692020-12-26T00:38:21.031-06:002020-12-26T00:38:21.031-06:00Ha ha! I saw that one on the big screen as well, and remember being impressed with the picture's deep commitment to stupidity! I guess a giant heart transplant makes as much sense as anything else would if you're trying to justify Kong surviving his strafing and the big plummet!Burlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15471864627412228340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8492795376174847769.post-40258099345303276152020-12-24T04:02:21.521-06:002020-12-24T04:02:21.521-06:00I saw this on TV as a kid, not the silver screen, ...I saw this on TV as a kid, not the silver screen, and vividly remember the Kong vs snake scene as spectacularly underwhelming! I wanted a dinosaur! It's a bit sad that something so kitsch should be poignant because it features the WTC at the end, but you never know how things will turn out, I guess.

Now do King Kong Lives!THX 1139https://www.blogger.com/profile/07574901864533202054noreply@blogger.com
